Packaging licensing

The term packaging licensing is used synonymously with the term system participation. This means that manufacturers, processors and importers who put licensed packaging on the market must participate in a dual system. They must license their packaging volumes with a dual system. The cost contribution incurred for the packaging licensing covers the costs for the sorting and disposal of the packaging waste.
