For loose and aromatic products such as coffee, tea leaves, spices & herbs, specially developed pouches are the ideal choice for preserving freshness and flavour.

Packiro's aroma protection pouches are available in various designs:

Our stand-up pouches, also known as doypacks, are an aroma protection pouch with a stand-up base and an all-rounder for many products.

Our flat bottom pouches with their optional add-ons valve and pocket zippet have been specially developed for coffee. They allow your coffee to be degassed and the pouches to be filled easily.

Flat pouches are particularly suitable for small quantities - or if you want to present your products hanging. The optional Eurohole add-on is ideal for this.

All packagings are food-safe and can be fitted with a zipper. This means they can be resealed and offer perfect flavour protection long after they have been opened for the first time!

Aroma protection pouches, as their name suggests, specialise in protecting the aroma. Our packaging materials do not require a classic aluminium composite film and are either made of mono plastic (Martha & Toni) or sustainable materials. This not only protects the flavour of your product, but also the environment!

Each material has unique properties that protect your product from moisture, oxygen and UV rays and give you different design options. This not only prolongs the freshness and shelf life of your products, but also allows you to customise your packaging to your liking!

How are aroma pouches constructed and for which contents do they require a protective valve?

The structure of our aroma pouches depends on your chosen material. While "Robin" and "Ben" are composite packaging made of FSC®-certified paper and layers of PET & LDPE plastic (Robin) or a layer of the bioplastic PLA, our mono plastic packaging "Toni" and "Martha" are made of PP plastic.

The special thing about Toni and Martha is that the add-ons such as the zip and flavour valve are also made of PP. This makes this packaging recyclable!

Spices contain a variety of flavours that should be transferred to food and drinks. If you do not adequately protect your spices from external influences such as oxygen, light and moisture, these flavours can be lost. For example, paprika powder fades in direct sunlight, which is why transparent glass containers are not ideal.

Aroma pouches, on the other hand, offer ideal protection, are easy to store and are also unbreakable. They are also ideal as refill bags for larger quantities.

Stand-up pouches fulfil all protection requirements for spices. In addition, add-ons such as the zipper enable airtight resealing and the valve allow gases to escape from the packaging without losing the flavour. This should be a prerequisite for coffee packaging in particular.

Yes, packaging made from the materials "Toni" and "Martha" are made from polypropylene, including add-ons such as a zipper and valve. It is therefore mono-plastic packaging, which is a prerequisite for a successful recycling process.
