Declaration of conformity (PPWR)

With the EU declaration of conformity (DoC), the manufacturer confirms that packaging meets the requirements of the PPWR. Since 12 August 2026, a separate declaration has been required for each type of packaging and each packaging material, together with technical documentation.

The documents must be kept for 5 years for single-use packaging and 10 years for reusable packaging. If the material or packaging format changes, a new declaration is needed, whereas a new print design usually does not require one.
