We know how to make a good coffee packaging!

Our flat bottom pouches have everything what a coffee packaging needs

Coffee packaging is the supreme discipline in the packaging market. Because coffee is particularly sensitive, the packaging has to combine high quality and barrier properties. At the same time, it should be stable, ideally demonstrate your love of coffee and stand out on the shelf. Your commitment to sustainability also plays a decisive role and should already be recognisable in your packaging.

Together with Coffee Experts, we have tackled these requirements and developed a coffee packaging that meets exactly your expectations of a good coffee packaging.

Our packaging will protect your coffee superbly

During the roasting process, essential oils are released in the coffee beans, which impart the coffee with its unique flavour. To protect this and maintain the aroma of the coffee, it must be protected from oxygen, UV rays and moisture. Otherwise, the beans can oxidise, lose their aroma, become rancid or even mould. To avoid this, our coffee packaging is designed to guarantee the highest barrier values and keep your beans fresh for a long time.

After roasting, fresh roasted coffee will release carbon dioxide (CO2). To prevent this additional CO2 from expanding the packaging or exploding it, our packaging has an aroma valve that allows CO2 to escape without letting in oxygen from the outside.

Sustainability: A significant trend in coffee packaging

The issue of sustainability becomes more and more important and, according to studies, influences almost 70 percent of end consumers in their purchasing decisions. Legal regulations are also becoming stricter and requirements for mandatory recyclable packaging are growing. It's time to make your coffee packaging sustainable too!

Our sustainable packaging solutions protect natural resources and reduce waste. We use recyclable packaging made of mono-material and sustainable paper from FSC®-certified forestry and other controlled sources for our paper packaging. Together with you, we protect the environment and support the circular economy.

Individual packaging for each of your coffees

Do you currently buy single-colour flat bottom pouches in small quantities and manually label them for each type of coffee in order to stay flexible as much as possible? Or do you order your coffee packaging fully printed in one design, but in large quantities, thus committing yourself to thousands of packages at the same time? Stop compromising!

With us, you get the benefits of both worlds! Thanks to a low minimum order quantity of 500 pieces per design, you can stay flexible with your order and still have your packaging fully printed in eye-catching designs! This gives you maximum freedom as a large or small roastery with microlots.

The way to a circular economy

Our contribution to the global packaging problem

Our vision: Closing the cycle

We are convinced that recycling is the key to creating a sustainable future. That's why we work in a close partnership with Interseroh to develop packaging solutions that can use the "Made for Recycling" seal and are therefore first-class recyclable. This also applies to our plastic packaging Martha and Toni made of mono-material. Currently, our paper packaging does not have the "Made for Recycling" seal, but it is still the most sustainable form of paper packaging on the market.

Our goal is to develop all packaging in such a way that it contributes to a better circular economy.

Our mission: A bio-based packaging with the best protection

Transparent communication is our top priority - that's why we talk turkey: Our packaging with paper haptic, our Robust Robin, is currently not recyclable due to its composite materials. Therefore, we are currently working on a more sustainable alternative: a paper flat bottom pouch with bio-based plastic.

The challenge here is that bio-based packaging currently does not have a sufficient oxygen barrier, which makes it unsuitable for coffee. Our goal is therefore to develop bio-based flat bottom pouches that have both an excellent oxygen barrier and allow packaging with a paper feel. We are almost there! By the end of the year, we will present our bio-based flat bottom pouches especially for coffee.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about our coffee packaging

Your coffee needs reliable protection from UV radiation and a high aroma barrier. If you're also concerned about sustainability, we recommend our recyclable packaging heroine Metallised Martha. If you prefer a paper-based packaging, our Robust Robin is a good choice. In addition to paper, it comes with a protective plastic film.

The prices for our packaging vary depending on the selected quantity, the material and your desired size. You can see all prices listed transparently in our configurator.

No, for production reasons, the aroma valve is currently only available for flat-bottom pouches. We are currently working on a solution with our producers and suppliers so that we will soon be able to offer the aroma valve for stand-up pouches as well.

No problem, we are happy to support you in creating your designs. As part of our design service, you can choose between three different packages. You can find more information here: Design service page

All our flexible packaging forms are produced and printed in Germany and other EU countries. Proximity means that processes can be better controlled and optimised more quickly. Material safety is also always guaranteed. We avoid long transport routes and thus consume less CO2. After all, as a packaging manufacturer we have a great responsibility for our environment and put minimising our ecological footprint on our agenda every day.

The regular production and delivery time (standard) is 4-6 weeks for our stand-up and flat pouches and 4-7 weeks for our flat-bottom pouches. If you want it to be quicker, you can choose Express (3-4 weeks) or Express+ (10 working days) for our stand-up and flat pouches. You can find all three delivery packages here: Production and delivery times

Coffee contains up to 800 precious aromas - but without the right packaging, these are quickly lost. In addition to fast filling, the possibility of roasting gases outgassing and an airtight seal, there are many other points to consider. Here you can find out everything you need to consider if you want to protect your coffee from oxygen, UV radiation and moisture.

Especially with non-locally produced products like coffee, it is important to many customers to compensate for long transport routes and CO2 emissions. With our sustainable coffee packaging and the corresponding seals, you can make your environmental commitment tangible for your customers.
