To ensure that your food truly delights your customers, it requires packaging that keeps it fresh and protects it from going stale. Our packaging provides laboratory-tested barrier protection against oxygen, UV light, fats, contaminants, and microorganisms.
In addition to shielding against external and internal influences, your packaging should also be robust enough to withstand transportation, storage, resistant to drops, moisture, and temperature fluctuations.

Strong partners with a common goal: sustainable packaging solutions
Packiro forges a close partnership with Interseroh to develop packaging solutions that display the "Made for Recycling" seal. As a result we were amongst the first providers in the packaging market to manufacture recyclable plastic pouches with a mono-structure and digital printing.
After 3 years of research, in collaboration with our mother company Siegwerk Druckfarben, we successfully developed a paper packaging without a plastic film that can be recycled in the waste paper bin. Of course, all our paper packaging is FSC® certified to guarantee paper from sustainable forestry.

By placing your order, you are supporting our environmental initiatives
Through the purchase of our paper packagings (Robin and Ben), we, in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects (reforestation of tropical areas), plant one tree for every 100 paper pouches ordered. 🌳
For orders of our recyclable plastic materials, we donate 5 euros per order to the K.R.A.K.E. (Cologne-Rhine Cleanup Command Unit), which uses their innovative trash trap to collect plastic waste from the Rhine River and clean up local forest and natural areas.

Frequently asked questions about our food packaging
Which packaging material is best for food?
Due to the food suitability of our packaging materials, you can use all of our bags for your food. However, a material structure with good UV and moisture protection is important. For example, our metallised plastic packaging Martha, our composite packaging with paper structure Robin or our Ben made from renewable raw materials are suitable for this.
What food can I put in the pouches?
Our pouch packaging is perfect for all kinds of food thanks to the taste- and odour-neutral packaging materials, the pressure seal and the optimum protective properties against oxygen, moisture and UV radiation.
All companies involved in the manufacturing process are also BRCGS Packaging certified. This is how we ensure that your packaging is suitable for food.

Which add-ons are useful?
If you choose the materials "Transparent Toni" or "Metallised Martha", you can print the "Made for Recycling" seal on your packaging. For Robin, Ben & Nils the FSC® seal is possible. For our biobased packaging Ben, you can also choose the "OK biobased" seal.
Most of our material variants have a pressure closure (zip closure) implemented as standard and are therefore available as resealable pouches (except Nils). If your product will hang on a shelf wall in the shop, we recommend a Euro hole and our flat pouches.
I don't have anyone to create the design for me. Can you do it?
No problem, we are happy to support you in creating your designs. As part of our design service, you can choose between three different packages. You can find more information here: Design service
Where does the production of the food packaging take place?
All our flexible packaging forms are produced and printed in Germany and other EU countries. Proximity means that processes can be better controlled and optimised more quickly. Material safety is also always guaranteed. We avoid long transport routes and thus consume less CO2. After all, as a packaging manufacturer we have a great responsibility for our environment and put minimising our ecological footprint on our agenda every day.
How long is the delivery time?
The regular production and delivery time (standard) is 4-6 weeks for our stand-up and flat pouches and 4-7 weeks for our flat-bottom pouches. If you want it to be quicker, you can choose Express (3-4 weeks) or Express+ (10 working days) for our stand-up and flat pouches.
